The Day I Got Into Smoothie Bowls

I have a confession. For the longest time I thought smoothie bowls were kinda gross…
My opinion on the was “cold fruit soup…? No thanks” But then, as I had some frozen bananas left over from my banana and pomegranate popsicles, I thought I would give them a try… on a particularly hungover Saturday afternoon.

And BOY did I change my mind. Not only did I feel so great post smoothie bowl, they are refined sugar free. Now my opinion of smoothie bowls is “WOOP WOOP”

I am kind of obsessed with them now… which seems a bit mad as I am aware I am pretty late to the game.

For my strawberry and matcha smoothie bowl add the following to a blender:

  • fresh strawberries
  • almond milk
  • frozen banana
  • toppings: Matcha powder, strawberries, dessicated coconut

For my chocolate and berry smoothie bowl add the following to your blender:

  • cocoa powder
  • frozen banana
  • almond milk
  • toppings: puree frozen berries & add some fresh stawberries on top
