As I am on a bit of a detox from sugar, flour, and such at the moment, I decided tomake some baked plums instead. Totally delicious. Totally easy. Totally great.
You can do this with any stone fruits – plums and peaches are both great! But you can also do this with pears. All you do is give the fruit a wash, cut them in half and de-stone or de-seed. Place a star anise in each of the fruits. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes at about 180°C.
I love having this with a bit of mascarpone, mixed with some cinnamon powder, vanilla seeds and honey.
This is a great dish for a dinner party dessert because – who doesn’t love fruit? And it’s so easy to make in large portions.
