Fruit Salad and a plane to NYC

May 24, 2014

fruit salad

So, this is hardly a baking feat – but I wanted to do  a really quick post to say that I’m off to New York for a week so I won’t be posting until I’m back. But when I’m back I hope to have loads of great recommendations for anyone who is going to visit the big apple.

This fruit salad is just oranges, mangos, mint, nectarines and then cherries boiled in sugar, water and cherry jam, to add that extra bit of sweetness.  No recipe needed.  If you love jam add more, if you hate it don’t use it. I also just squeezed some orange juice and lime juice over the top to make it more liquidy.

I went to see a play  called TELEMACHOS -Should I stay or should I go? It’s in Bauhaus theatre at the moment on Naunynstrasse, Kreuzberg (Berlin). It’s about Greek migrants in Germany and the current economic crisis in Europe – particularly focussing on the relationship between Greece and Germany. Really, REALLY good and very funny at the same time. If you have time – go and see it, it’s only on for a few more days.

I’m writing this in Dublin airport where they have free WIFI = awesome. I better go and get on this plane. SEEEEE YAAAA in a weeeeek.
